Not much has gone Josh Gordon's way since signing with the Kansas City Chiefs last month.

Gordon has featured in four games with the Chiefs and currently sits at a mere one reception recorded this season, which came in the team's Week 5 home loss to the Buffalo Bills.

The veteran wide receiver did see an increase in snaps played during the Chiefs' Week 8 home matchup with the New York Giants. While he took part in 40 percent of the team's snaps on offense, quarterback Patrick Mahomes only targeted him once over the contest.

In the big picture, the one-time NFL MVP winner takes responsibility for Gordon's lack of involvement in the Chiefs offense over the last four games, which he touched on during a press conference on Wednesday.

“Yeah I mean we’re using him more and more it’s just the ball hasn’t gone his way,” Mahomes said. “I'm big on just trying to get it to the guy I feel is open.

“Obviously, I got to be better at making some decisions because there's plays that he's open and I haven’t hit him, but he knows it, he’s a smart guy. He picked up the offense quickly, that’s why he's gotten on the field more and more. I’m sure as the season goes on, we’ll get the ball to him because he’s a playmaker and we want to have that as we get to the end of the season and hopefully the playoffs.”

A key test awaits the Chiefs in Week 9 as they will take on against the Green Bay Packers. The reigning AFC champions sure could use a vintage performance from Gordon in this game.
