The Kansas City Chiefs are more than serious about hoisting more Lombardis in the upcoming seasons. The organization recently handed out multiple lucrative deals to retain the team's core that won the Super Bowl LIV last season.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce chimed in on the extensions that the franchise has inked during the offseason:

“We’ve got great guys in the locker room. . . . great guys in the facility. It’s a fun atmosphere every time you go to work and guys don’t want to leave that,” Kelce said, via Harold R. Kuntz of WDAF.

Chiefs quarterback and Super Bowl LIV MVP Patrick Mahomes was the first to get his piece of the pie. He signed a record-breaking 10-year deal worth up to $503 million dollars, making it the largest contract in sports history. It will tie the Texas Tech alum with the franchise through the 2031 season.

Around a week later, the Kansas City Chiefs continued to hand out another bag of cash. Star defensive tackle Chris Jones also agreed to a four-year, $85 million contract, which includes $60 million in total guarantees upon signing.

The latest signing was tight end Travis Kelce who recently agreed to terms on a fresh four-year deal. The contract amounts to a total of $57.25 million which includes $28 million in guaranteed money.

With the rest of the league also ramping up their own roster moves, it was a wise decision for the franchise to keep their star players at the helm. The 2020 season will see if the Super Bowl LIV champions can form their own dynasty in Kansas City.
