Kareem Hunt was one of the top up-and-coming stars in the NFL just a couple shorts weeks ago for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a big part of the Chiefs' hopes to win Super Bowl 53 and his future could not have been brighter. Now, Hunt has been released from the Kansas City roster and his NFL future is in doubt after video surfaced of him shoving and kicking a woman in Cleveland from back in February.

Unfortunately, that kind of situation can kill a career very quickly. There has been no report of what kind of discipline the NFL will hand down, but a six-game suspension seems to be the bare minimum.

Regardless, the Chiefs decided to let Hunt go and he has now been taken off of their roster. Not only is he not on their real life roster, Madden 19 has updated their game to reflect the roster move as well. Hunt is no longer on Madden, according to a report from TMZ Sports.

A rep for EA Sports made it clear that not only is Hunt off the Chiefs' roster, they are also removing him from the game entirely.

“We are in the process of removing Kareem Hunt from the Madden NFL 19 roster, Madden Overdrive and Madden Ultimate Team. Any of our players who currently have Hunt on their Ultimate Team will receive a replacement generic player with identical stats.”

Needless to say, the people over at EA Sports are not taking this situation lightly. Neither should the NFL for that matter.

Hunt will likely find a new team if he only ends up facing a six-game suspension. His talent alone will make someone interested in giving him a second chance.

In the 27 career games that Hunt played with the Chiefs, he carried the football 453 times for 2,151 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also caught 79 passes for 378 yards and seven touchdowns.

Expect to continue hearing more about Hunt in the near future. The NFL is currently doing an investigation and will have more to say upon the completion of it.
