The Los Angeles Rams and Kansas City Chiefs set a handful of new records during their remarkable Monday night shootout. And Kareem Hunt also got into the act.

Hunt became the first player since 1961 to have at least seven rushing touchdowns and seven receiving touchdowns in his team's first 11 games, per Adam Teicher of ESPN.

Hunt scored on a 21-yard touchdown pass, his seventh of the season, in the first half of the Chiefs’ 54-51 defeat. Baltimore Colts Hall of Famer Lenny Moore was the last player to reach the feat 57 years ago.

Hunt is clearly not suffering from any sort of sophomore slump. After leading the league in rushing yards as a rookie last season, Hunt has continued to rack up impressive numbers.

He's on course for another 1,000-yard rushing season with 824 yards. He's also got 26 catches for 378 yards. His seven receiving touchdowns are tied with Travis Kelce for second on the team. He’s also averaging 14.5 yards per catch, which leads all running backs.

Along with Todd Gurley and Alvin Kamara, Hunt is one of the brightest young dual-threat running backs who can do just as much damage through the air as they do on the ground.

As much as Patrick Mahomes deserves credit for the Chiefs offense’s remarkable success this season, Hunt’s contributions can’t be underestimated. His ability as a runner helps keep opposing defenses honest and his impact as a receiver from the backfield provides the offense another dimension.

If the Chiefs are to achieve the postseason success they crave this season, they'll need Hunt to step up and continue to play a major part in their offense.
