The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars with relative ease on Sunday. With former Buffalo Bills running back and Chiefs newcomer LeSean McCoy helping out along the way, the veteran NFL rusher has been blown away by the work ethic of his new teammates in Kansas City.

It’s a track meet,” McCoy told James Palmer of NFL Network after the Chiefs' first win of the year. We worked hard in Buffalo, but there’s no work ethic like the guys in this locker room. It’s amazing. Every day at practice giving 110%. It’s a track meet literally, up and down, up and down. And they’re young with a lot of energy. So I’m just trying to learn the offense. I’m trying to compete with these guys day in and day out. That’s probably been the biggest challenge.”

With the Chiefs offense in typical form on Sunday afternoon in Jacksonville, McCoy couldn't have been more impressed by his new teammate and Kansas City's starting quarterback in Patrick Mahomes.

“He’s impressive,” McCoy said. “I remember the first time in the walkthrough. It was like an easy concept like a flat and a curl. And normal quarterbacks or how it usually goes they’ll normally look a guy off, get the defender to move then throw it. He looked at the guy and just threw it. I never have seen a no-look before, I mean I’ve seen the highlights, but he does that consistently over and over again. Well, that’s pretty amazing.”

The Chiefs will take on the rival Oakland Raiders come Week 2.
