Kansas City Chiefs running back LeSean McCoy is on the cusp of winning his first Super Bowl after a lengthy playing career that initially spanned between the Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills.

Currently in the midst of his first season as a member of the Chiefs, McCoy has taken on a lesser role in Kansas City as the surging AFC West franchise has a slew of talented running backs and other offensive weapons at its disposal.

However, it appears as though McCoy is only concerned with winning and understands the nature of the business that is the NFL.

“It’s been up and down,” McCoy told reporters on Monday, via NBC Sports Pro Football Talk. “Early in the year, I had to play more then I kinda got hurt, got sick. The other backs stepped up and played really, really good, so my role kinda backtracked a little bit. To be honest, whenever my name is called I’m out there giving 110 percent. . . . Obviously, it’s a difference. I’m used to playing. I’m used to being the guy. To come here, we have so many good players from the quarterback down. I think, when that happens, a lot of players roles have to change.”

Perhaps most notably, though, McCoy was able to reunite with his former Eagles head coach in current Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. If this duo manages to finally win a Super Bowl together, it surely won't matter to McCoy whether or not he is the star of the show.
