The rich have gotten richer with the Kansas City Chiefs expected to sign former New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell. The two-time All-Pro has since wasted no time getting acquainted with his new fanbase.

Bell took to Twitter to thank Kansas City for the opportunity:

Bell had been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons in New York to start the 2020 NFL season after he was notably perturbed with the handling of the hamstring issue that landed him on injured reserve. His underlying tension with head coach Adam Gase finally came to a head following an 0-5 start and the three-time Pro Bowler liking tweets regarding Gase's misuse of him finally led to his release.

Fortunately, Bell's prospects are now looking as bright as ever as a member of the Chiefs. Not only does he have a chance to take on an integral role in this high-powered offense, being able to compete with the reigning Super Bowl champs following a stint with the lackluster Jets has to be quite the turnaround. He will also have a chance to potentially double dip on the four-year, $52.5 million deal he signed with New York in March 2019.

It is no secret that Bell was never able to find his footing as the workhorse in New York's offense. However, his versatile skill set as both a runner and viable pass-catcher out of the backfield should make him a seamless fit for Kansas City. For now, he is relishing in the recent turn of events that have landed him with a bona fide contender.
