When the Kansas City Chiefs drafted wide receiver Mecole Hardman back in April, many people saw him as Tyreek Hill 2.0.

While Hardman is not quite at that level right now, the rookie still thinks he can beat his elder statesman in a 100-yard race.

Hardman was sure to clarify that Hill would beat him in a 40-yard dash, so he is hoping to have a little more endurance.

Through eight games, Hardman has logged 20 catches for 374 yards and four touchdowns. He also caught touchdown passes in each of the last two weeks.

The 21-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Georgia, was selected by the Chiefs in the second round (56th pick overall) of the draft.

He didn't have an exceptionally productive NCAA career, as he totaled 60 receptions for 961 yards and 11 touchdowns during his time at Georgia, but Kansas City loved his speed and athleticism and saw him as a potentially dynamic downfield threat.

And if he turns out to be anything like Hill? Then the Chiefs got a steal.

Hill made the Pro Bowl in each of his first three NFL seasons, notching First-Team All-Pro honors twice. Last year, he hauled in 87 receptions for 1,479 yards and 12 scores in what was his best season to date.

This season, however, Hill has been limited to just four games due to a clavicle injury he suffered during the early moments of Week 1.

Kansas City has gotten off to a 5-3 start this season and will take on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
