A CBS Sports analyst likes the idea of Earl Thomas heading on over to the Kansas City Chiefs, which is nothing if not an interesting prospect.

Sean Wagner-McGough of CBS Sports published his choices Friday for the top 11 possible landing spots for Thomas, who after a falling out with the Seahawks will likely be available when the free agency period begins on March 13.

Wagner-McGough said the following:

“My personal favorite landing spot is Kansas City. Before Thomas broke his leg, the Chiefs were nearing a trade for him, according to Yahoo!'s Terez Paylor. Since then, the Chiefs watched their terrible defense cost them a spot in the Super Bowl. Fixing the defense has to be their priority this offseason. The Chiefs could sign Earl Thomas and still use Eric Berry closer to the line of scrimmage. Thomas alone wouldn't fix the Chiefs' defense, but he would shore up the back end better than anyone else. The Chiefs are certainly in win-now mode and they have a clear problem that Thomas could help fix.”

Right now, the Chiefs have more than $8 million in cap space that has been made available. The question is, of course, will they spend it on Thomas, and is he worth the price?

There's no doubt a healthy Thomas would be a huge addition for the Kansas City defense and would go a long way towards fixing the leaks that plagued them in 2018. The question is, will he be healthy enough to be considered a good addition to the team?
