Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy has interviews set up this week with the Carolina Panthers and the New York Giants according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

The Cleveland Browns also have a request to interview him but it's unclear when that meeting will be scheduled for. Bieniemy is one of the hottest coaching candidates in the NFL and many believe this is the year he is going to get his chance to lead his own team. Last season Bieniemy interviewed for a couple of jobs but didn't land them.

Bieniemy has spent most of his career as a running backs coach starting in college with the Colorado Buffaloes and UCLA Bruins, He also was the offensive coordinator for a couple of seasons with the Buffaloes.

During his time in the NFL, he has been a running backs coach with the Minnesota Vikings and the Kansas City Chiefs. After the Chicago Bears hired away Matt Nagy, Bieniemy was elevated to offensive coordinator and has thrived in the role. In each of the last two seasons, the Chiefs have gone 12-4 and Bieniemy's work with the offense has been the main reason why.

Bieniemy has done great work with Patrick Mahomes and if he were to land the job with the Giants, it would be key that he helped Daniel Jones take his next step forward. If the Panthers hire him they have a lot of quarterback questions heading into next year and he could have a say in what direction the team goes.
