With their loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3, the Kansas City Chiefs are now 1-2, the team's worst star in the Patrick Mahomes era.

The defeat should serve as a wake-up call for the Chiefs, who are now in last place in the AFC West. But while many Chiefs fans are getting worries, Mahomes said it's too early to push the panic button. After their latest loss, the star quarterback was asked about his level of concern (via Heavy).

“I mean not a lot. We scored 24 points with four turnovers. I mean you’re not going to win games with four turnovers in this league. We were moving the ball the way we wanted to, and we got ourselves back in the game and gave ourselves a chance at the end. There’s not much concern, it’s just about going in and putting in the work every single week.”

While Mahomes was cool about their situation, Chiefs assistant coach David Toub, who called the shots when coach Andy Reid had to leave the game due to an illness, was more pragmatic. He said their 1-2 start is alien territory for them.

“Yeah, this is unusual for us. To be honest, it’s a little bit of a crossroads for us. We’ve got great leadership and our guys are going to battle back. Our guys are going to battle back strong, and we’re going to have a great week of practice and clean it up.”

Mahomes and the Chiefs can improve their slate to 2-2 when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles next Sunday.
