The Kansas City Chiefs have suffered their second straight loss in Week 3 after falling to the Los Angeles Chargers at home, 30-24. Despite the defeat, however, Patrick Mahomes is not panicking.

Mahomes and the Chiefs are now 1-2 on the season after also losing their Week 2 showdown with the Baltimore Ravens, 36-35. While Kansas City fans will naturally be concerned–especially since the team picked up only two losses in 2020 en route to the Super Bowl–Mahomes is embracing the struggle and wants fans to do the same.

“A little adversity never hurts #ChiefsKingdom. We will be back soon!” Mahomes wrote on Twitter along with a couple of flexed biceps emojis.

Patrick Mahomes had a three-touchdown outing for the third-straight game, but he also threw two interceptions as the Chargers' defense stepped up when it mattered most.

Moreover, after being dismantled by the Ravens' rushing game in the previous week, the Chiefs struggled to stop the Chargers' passing in their latest outing. Justin Herbert was sensational for LA, throwing four touchdowns without an interception.

In a bit of bad news for the Chiefs as well, head coach Andy Reid fell ill after Sunday's contest and had to be taken off Arrowhead Stadium via ambulance. The severity of his condition is unknown, but latest reports indicate it's nothing serious.

Several things are not going well for the Chiefs, but as Mahomes noted, the “little adversity” they are facing won't hurt and should only help them grow stronger moving forward.

Kansas City faces the Philadelphia Eagles next, and sure enough, fans and experts alike are hoping they will bounce back and return to their winning ways.
