Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes entered the 2021 season as the odds-on favorite to win the MVP award. However, four weeks into the season and things have changed a lot.

After the Chiefs' split their first four games of the season at 2-2, the MVP odds have now shifted against Mahomes. Although he is still one of the favorites, it is worth noting that BetMGM has now given him just the third-best odds to win at +750, behind Kyler Murray (+500) and  Josh Allen (+650) per Reuters.

For what it's worth, Mahomes has shorter odds in both DraftKings and PointsBet. Nonetheless, he is still behind Murray. At DraftKings, he is at +650 while the Arizona Cardinals QB is at +450. On the other hand, in PointsBet, the Chiefs superstar is at +550 while Murray is at +475.

At FanDuel, though, Mahomes has fallen to fourth at +800, while Murray and Allen continue to turn heads and flip the odds in their favor.

Of course it's still early in the season, and Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs still have a lot of time to turn things around. If anything, these latest changes could very well fuel the star QB even more and power Kansas City to consecutive wins.

Murray has led the Cardinals to an undefeated streak through four weeks, so it's no surprise why he has risen in the MVP ladder. However, he certainly can't relax with Mahomes likely to step up once again as the 2021 season heats up.
