One of the more humorous parts of the NFL Combine and draft process is the over-exaggeration and relentless attention to details, specifically physical traits, too, when it comes to prospects. For LSU Tigers Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Joe Burrow, this past college football season's national champion and soon-to-be No. 1 pick in the 2020 draft, that's obsessing over the size of the 23-year-old's hands.

Burrow was backed up by former MVP and reigning Super Bowl MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, who shared on social media on Monday that he also has Burrow's perceived slight of “small hands.”

“My small hands are doing alright so far,” Mahomes, 24, wrote on Twitter today. “I believe in ya.”

Burrow's hands were clocked in at 9″ at the Combine while Mahomes', a Texas Tech product and a former first-round pick, were measured a quarter of an inch longer.

Mahomes, of course, is coming off a Super Bowl season with the Chiefs 50 years in the making while the Cincinnati Bengals, the owners of the first overall pick in the 2020 draft, have yet to familiarize themselves with Lombardi Trophy glory, only going as far as the Super Bowl twice in the 1980s.

Burrow was the talk of CFB in 2019 as he threw for 5,671 passing yards on a 76.3 completion percentage, connecting on a whopping 60 touchdowns and just six interceptions in 15 games for the Tigers in their undefeated and champion season.

There has been a rumored rift between Burrow and the Bengals about the Heisman's interest in starting under center for the future in Cincinnati. Still, everything points to that story being overblown and the QB landing with the AFC North team in two months.
