There has been plenty of speculation regarding which quarterback has the strongest arm in the NFL between Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes and Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen. It appears the pair are doing what they can to put an end to the debate once and for all.

Allen said during an appearance on Good Morning Football that while the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic canceled their initial throwdown, the pair are working on making it come to fruition:

“We're working on it,” Allen said. “We had something in place that was supposed to be going this summer but obviously some COVID-19 restrictions had that shut down. But yes, I'm game.”

Allen added that the proceeds of the event with Patrick Mahomes will be donated to charity.

“I'd love to finally settle this and figure it out, but we'll have to make sure that whatever the case may be, it's going to a good cause and there's some charity involved with it… so we'll figure out a way where we can do this for sure.”

Both quarterbacks have long expressed their mutual interest to get a friendly contest going. Mahomes reportedly indicated that his range falls somewhere between 80-85 yards. Allen is confident that he will be able to match his efforts and potentially even surpass him.

The NFL used to feature a throwing competition between quarterbacks at the Pro Bowl back in the 1990s and 2000s. Since the restrictions of the ongoing pandemic have prevented Mahomes and Allen from making it happen, the league may want to consider trying to bring back the event under their own precautions.

It will be interesting to see which of these talented, young gunslingers ultimately earns the title of the NFL's strongest arm.
