It has been 25 years since the Kansas City Chiefs have won a home playoff game and that has been a big talking point heading into their game Saturday, but that isn't something that Patrick Mahomes isn't concerned about. Mahomes knows everyone likes to talk about the past, but that isn't something he is concerned about, rather focusing on his first playoff game.

“For me, it's my first playoff game,” Mahomes he said Wednesday, via Arrowhead Pride. “I'm excited just to be here, and at the same time, get the opportunity to go out there and win games like this. When you [are growing] up, you want to play games like this. You get older and you want to be a professional athlete, you want to win on the biggest stage. So for me, it's about going out there to be myself, lean on my teammates, and win a big football game.”

If the Chiefs can win their game Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts, the home losing streak won't be the only streak snapped. The Colts and Chiefs have faced off four times in the playoffs with the Colts winning all four of the games. Mahomes was asked about that streak and he didn't seem concerned about it.

“That's… in the past,” Mahomes said. “All of us… we're here now. We're focused on the present day. We feel like we have a different team — that we can go out there and win a big football game.”

If Mahomes and the Chiefs lose on Saturday there is no doubt that the streaks will be a big talking point going into next season.
