The Kansas City Chiefs have reportedly signed Le'Veon Bell, giving Patrick Mahomes yet another weapon in the 0ffense. Not long after the news broke, Mahomes had the perfect reaction on Twitter to Bell inking a deal with the Chiefs.

Mahomes would also send a tweet, welcoming the dual-threat back to Kansas City.

Bell was released on Wednesday after the New York Jets attempted to find a trade partner for the disgruntled running back. The All-Pro running back played in just 17 games for the Jets, netting $27 million in the process.

During his time in New York, Bell mightily struggled, averaging 3.3 yards per carry on 264 rushing attempts and three rushing touchdowns. He also hauled in 69 passes for only 500 yards and another touchdown through the air.

Nevertheless, Bell fell victim to having to be a running back in an Adam Gase offense. Dating back to last season, it was evident that Gase was never a fan of the Jets signing Bell in the first place before he was hired as the head coach.

As for the Chiefs, they've relied upon rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire as their No. 1 running back so far this season. However, since rushing for 138 yards and a touchdown in Week 1, Edwards-Helaire has combined for 206 rushing yards and zero touchdowns in the past four weeks.

Besides Edwards-Helaire, the Chiefs have sparingly used Darrel Williams as the No. 2 option at running back. But with Bell in the mix now, Williams will likely be relegated to a bench role moving forward.

And while Bell will likely be inactive in Week 6 versus the Buffalo Bills, he could see a shared workload with Edwards-Helaire in Week 7 versus the Denver Broncos. Then, Bell will get a chance to face his former team in the Jets in Week 8.

While Bell is excited to join the reigning Super Bowl champions, Mahomes realizes he just got another weapon added to his arsenal.
