Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes took the league by storm in his first full season as a starter. Now that he has accomplished the pinnacle of individual success, the only thing left for him is to win a Super Bowl.

Mahomes took home essentially every individual honor he qualified for in the 2018 NFL season. According to NFL Network's James Palmer, his focus is finishing the job in the 2019 NFL season.

After winning MVP Patrick Mahomes says his only goal in year two as a starter is the same as last year and will be the same moving forward. Winning a Super Bowl.

It is encouraging to see Mahomes is not ready to rest on his merits just yet. He managed to knock out enough accomplishments for a career in just his first year as a starter.

This includes winning the NFL's MVP award, Offensive Player of the Year, first-team All-Pro honors, and a Pro Bowl selection. As a result, he has set the bar rather high for himself moving forward.

Despite his massive success, Mahomes and the Chiefs came up just short of a trip to Super Bowl LIII after losing to the New England Patriots in overtime in the AFC Championship Game.

At this point, it is safe to say that any road to a championship will eventually go through New England.

While it may be difficult for him to match the numbers he put up in 2018, it will be interesting to see if Mahomes can get Kansas City over the hump at some point in the near future.
