The Kansas City Chiefs fell behind in the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes was annoyed with his teammates, but not for the reason you might think.

Mahomes told Peter King of Football Morning in America that before the team came back, everyone was reminding him they had plenty of time, something he wasn't too fond of.

At one point he almost got a little snarky with backup quarterback Matt Moore, when he reminded the Super Bowl MVP that there was time left for the Chiefs to make a comeback.

“Almost every single person that came up to me right there said, ‘We still got time left. You’re still good. We’re still gonna have time to go down there and put up points,'” Mahomes said. “It was almost a little annoying because I knew we had time left. There was one point, Matt Moore, a guy that was vital in us being where we were at this season, he came up to me, and he was like the last guy to come up to me and say something. He said, ‘We still got a lot of time left. You gotta believe.’ And I almost gave him a little bit of an attitude. I was like, ‘I know we got time left!!!'”

Mahomes did admit that all the talk gave him a little bit of confidence, but it still frustrated him.

If the Chiefs would have lost, the story would probably be frustrating, but since Kansas City won the game, there can't be any hard feelings.
