Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have formed a special bond on and off the field with the Kansas City Chiefs, and it's quite clear during their media session in the week leading up to the Super Bowl.

Both Mahomes and Kelce joked about their spirit animals, via The Ringer's Nora Princiotti.

When asked about his personal spirit animal, Patrick Mahomes said that he believes he is a wolf. The All-Pro quarterback could be compared to a wolf the way he stalks his prey before striking at the perfect moment, giving the Chiefs an endless supply of winning plays.

While Mahomes likens himself to a wolf, he said that Travis Kelce is comparable to a giraffe, likely due to his tall stature. That led Kelce to fire back with the response of Mahomes' true spirit animal being a frog, which is probably due to his unique voice that has been compared to Kermit the Frog.

The humor that both of them possess when speaking about each other shows the special connection they have on the field. Whenever Mahomes needs a clutch play on offense, he typically looks in the direction of No. 87.

During the regular season, Kelce was able to haul in 105 passes for 1,416 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Chiefs. His receiving yards were the most in a single season for a tight end in NFL history, breaking George Kittle's record that was set in 2018 with the San Francisco 49ers.

Mahomes and Kelce are going to be catalysts in helping the Chiefs win back-to-back Super Bowls on Sunday. But for the time being, they are poking fun at one another ahead of their upcoming showdown with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
