Kansas City Chiefs rookie wide receiver Mecole Hardman can't believe he's catching passes fro 2018 NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes.

Hardman told The Athletic's Nate Taylor on June 9 Mahomes has “a great arm.”

He's got a great arm. It's different. With his arm, he can get it to you everywhere on the field. Not most quarterbacks can do that. I can be 50 or 60 yards down that field and he still can lead me.

I wasn't really accustomed to it. You get 60 yards down the field, you think, ‘It's over with, I'm not getting the ball.' When you see the ball up, it's traveling farther than what you think it is.

It's a hard adjustment, especially in your mind. You just have to have faith in him that he's going to get you the ball.

The Chiefs made the 21-year-old Hardman the 56th overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft last April. Experts predict he will make an immediate impact in Kansas City. NFL.com compares him to the Seattle Seahawks' Tyler Lockett – a speedy and quick receiver who has a penchant for making the big plays.

Hardman should play a big role in the Chiefs' offense in 2019 because of Tyreek Hill's uncertain future with the team. It should be fun watching Hardman catching passes from Mahomes, who should record another MVP-type season.

The Chiefs lost to the New England Patriots in the 2018 AFC Championship Game. They will settle for nothing less than the Lombardi Trophy in 2019. Rookie Mecole Hardman will be a big part in the Chiefs' championship aspirations this season.
