Travis Kelce was widely considered the best tight end in football from a numbers perspective last season and came into this season with a lot of hype surrounding him. Not only has he exceeded expectations, he has also helped lead the Kansas City Chiefs to an impressive 5-0 victory. Kansas City is not just 5-0, they have also beaten both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Jacksonville Jaguars.

As the 2018 NFL season heads toward Week 6, the Chiefs are set for key matchup with the New England Patriots. No one could be more excited to see the two favorites in the AFC square off.

In an interview with ESPN, Kelce was asked if this year's fast start feels different for the Chiefs than in recent years.

“I believe so. I think everyone can say it's a different feeling, a lot more confidence, a lot more accountability amongst the guys to keep coming in and going through their routines of getting ready for each week.”

Kelce continued talking about how this year's team is different from others that have had regular season success in recent years and then failed come playoff time.

“It has a lot to do with years past, guys feeling sick of the kind of up-and-down roller coaster, [wanting] to take what happened last year and fix it. Finishing the games … overall, the finishing mindset has been huge in terms of what coach Reid has emphasized on this football team. In the fourth quarter, we try to amp it up one more notch.”

The article noted that the Chiefs have lost 11 of their past 12 postseason games. That is a number that the Chiefs want to change in a big way this season in their favor.

Throughout the first five games of the season, Patrick Mahomes has been one of the top candidates for the NFL MVP award. Kelce has been a key target for him with 28 receptions for 407 yards and three touchdowns.

Expect to see the Chiefs continue having success this season. They have done a great job building their roster the right way on both sides of the football and this team is certainly different than the ones from recent years.
