The Kansas City Chiefs suffered a crucial loss versus the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15. Fortunately, tight end Travis Kelce was still able to break the bank during the game.

Kelce earned a six-figure bonus on TNF against the Chargers. According to ESPN's Field Yates, it doubled now that the Chiefs have clinched a playoff spot:

On that play Travis Kelce just surpassed 1,200 receiving yards on the season, triggering a $375,000 incentive. The incentive doubles because the Chiefs have clinched a playoff spot. A $750,000 catch.

The Chargers did a solid job of containing this high-powered Chiefs offense. Kelce was once again an integral part of the passing game with a team-leading seven catches for 61 yards. Although it was not his most prolific outing, it was largely indicative of Kansas City's struggles throughout the game. He would undoubtedly have liked to secure a win. Fortunately, the lucrative bonus should help nullify the pain for now.

It is safe to assume that Kelce is poised to meet a number of his incentives for the season as he is in the midst of his best year yet. He has already registered career-highs in catches (93), yards (1,220), and touchdowns (10) thus far. It is evident that he has built quite a rapport with quarterback Patrick Mahomes and now have a chance to become one of the more prolific passing duos in the NFL.

Now that Kelce has secured the bag, he is hoping the Chiefs can now secure home-field advantage in the playoffs. Despite the loss the Chargers, they are still in control of their destiny moving forward. If they can clinch home-field if they win out thanks to their superior divisional record over Los Angeles.
