Kansas City Chiefs Pro Bowl tight end Travis Kelce believes wide receiver Tyreek Hill's return to the team is “up in the air.”

Kelce told Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio on Wednesday he has no definite comment on Hill's return to the Chiefs.

“I would just like to stay out of it; not necessarily stay out of it. I just have no comment on it.

It's definitely an unfortunate situation to even be in, and obviously from an outsider's perspective, you just wish the best for everyone and hope that it turns out okay. At this point, I'm just not gonna comment on it.

I think it's still up in the air. I don't know, nobody knows exactly what's going on.”

On April 25, Kansas City television station KCTV5 showed excerpts of an 11-minute audio recording which allegedly involves Hill and his fiancee Crystal Espinal, per USA TODAY's Lorenzo Reyes.

The female voice confronted the male's over the abuse of their son, who is just three years old. The boy sustained a broken arm as a result of the said abuse. He said his father was the culprit.

According to Reyes, the audio reveals the woman accusing the man of striking the boy on the chest. She also accused him of disciplining him with a belt. The man accused her of doing the same thing. The couple has lost custody of the boy.

Shortly after KCTV5 released the audio, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach told the media the team banned Hill from team activities, “for the foreseeable future,” per USA TODAY.

On April 27, Chiefs owner Clark Hunt told The Associated Press (via USA TODAY) he was “deeply disturbed” by the turn of events.

Reyes also says Hill “allegedly choked and punched his now-fiancee while he was a student at Oklahoma State University” in December 2014. Eight months later, Reyes says Hill “pleaded guilty to domestic violence and battery by strangulation.”

The Cowboys dismissed him from their football program shortly after the choking and punching incident.
