The Kansas City Chiefs are the reigning Super Bowl champs and Travis Kelce understands that puts a target on the team's back in 2020.

Whether the seasons starts on time or not, Kelce spoke about how Kansas City plans on defending their Super Bowl title:

“Coach Reid does an unbelievable job of setting us up week in, week out, knowing that we are going to get our opponent’s best shot because they feel like they have to bring that type of energy, that type of talent, that type of mentality to the game when they come and play the Kansas City Chiefs,” Kelce said on ESPN, via the Kansas City Star. “So knowing that, yeah, it makes every single game a little bit more intense, a little bit more meaningful. All it really does is build up the accountability throughout the team, throughout the players to make sure they’re doing what we’ve got to do throughout the week.”

Usually after teams win a Super Bowl, they undergo a massive turnover on the roster. However, for the Chiefs, they'll be returning 20 of their 22 starters from the 2019 season. Most recently, they were able to re-sign Bashaud Breeland to a one-year deal.

Even before winning a Super Bowl, Kelce and the Chiefs were already getting every team's best shot. With Patrick Mahomes under center, Kansas City's opponents realize that they'll need to bring their ‘A' game to have a chance at defeating them.

But with the Super Bowl added to their resume, the Chiefs are public enemy No. 1 next season. Nevertheless, Kelce doesn't seem concerned about Kansas City's ability to repeat in 2020.
