Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has not yet been cleared to practice due to the fact that he is still rehabbing from ankle surgery, according to James Palmer of NFL Network.

Kelce, who underwent the procedure early last month, is out of a boot and is working out, but he does not know what his timetable will be.

The 29-year-old is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he hauled in 103 receptions for 1,336 yards and 10 touchdowns en route to a Pro Bowl appearance and a First-Team All-Pro selection.

Kelce, who played his collegiate football at the University of Cincinnati, was originally selected by the Chiefs in the third round (63rd pick overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.

He played in just one game during his rookie campaign before landing on the injured reserve list as a result of a knee issue, but the following year, Kelce appeared in all 16 games and caught 67 passes for 862 yards and five scores.

Then, in 2015, Kelce made his first Pro Bowl after snaring 72 balls for 875 yards while reaching the end zone five times. He proceeded to break 1,000 yards for the first time the next season, finishing with 85 catches for 1,125 yards and four touchdowns, earning a Pro Bowl selection and First-Team All-Pro honors.

Overall, Kelce has made four Pro Bowl appearances and has racked up over 1,000 yards in each of the last four seasons.

The Chiefs won 12 games and captured the AFC West division title this past year and ultimately fell to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game.
