Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill says that he is still considering his dream of sprinting in the Olympics.

Prior to last year’s Super Bowl, the Chiefs star spoke about possibly trying out for the United States Olympic track team. He reiterated that sentiment in a recent interview with TMZ.

“It is still an option because it’s always been my dream to do multiple sports at the highest level,” Hill said. “It would be amazing. I just want to prove a point and also, like, I love competing.”

Hill explained that he’d like to try it while he still can.

“Like I’m young so why not use everything that I got while I still have it,” the Chiefs receiver said. “Because one day I’m going to be old and I’m not going to be as fast so just use everything I got.”

Last year, Hill explained that he’d have to lose 20 pounds to properly compete as a track athlete. Of course, he’d then have to put the weight back on quickly. The Olympics are due to begin on July 19, although they are in danger of being postponed. Football season starts not long thereafter.

If Hill is serious about becoming an Olympic track athlete, he will need to register for the U.S. Olympic track and field trials scheduled for June 2021. The Chiefs speedster was a world-class sprinter in high school days, even registering a 20.14-second time in the 200-meter dash.

If the Olympics do not plan out, which a very possible scenario due to COVID-19, Hill revealed that he may step on the track anyways. He said that he would race the Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Scotty Miller if it's for charity. But for now, Hill will be completely focused on winning a second-straight Super Bowl with the Chiefs on Sunday.
