Heading into Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers, there have been plenty of questions around the health of Kansas City Chiefs Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill concerning a foot injury.

Head coach Andy Reid has already indicated that Hill will likely take the field this week despite the injury. This was only further cemented as he put together a strong day of practice where he was seen running and cutting on the field, according to Michele Steele of ESPN.

This is certainly an encouraging step forward for Hill in his push toward being able to play against the Chargers that could have plenty of bearing on the playoff picture. There is also the potential that it could put Los Angeles in play to secure the AFC West division title and the top overall seed in the AFC side of the playoff format.

Hill has been a huge part of the Chiefs’ offensive game plan as their primary target in the passing game. He is in the midst of a career-best campaign where he has 74 catches for 1,258 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. Hill is currently second in the league in receiving yards, fourth in touchdowns, and has five 100 receiving yard performances. He has been the spark plug to the offense with his big-play ability that has led to game-changing moments throughout the season.

The 24-year-old has also had previous success this season against the Chargers in the 38-28 win in the season opener where he secured seven out of eight targets for 169 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. This included a 58-yard touchdown reception that shifted the tide in the Chiefs' favor. It isn't set in stone that he will play, but his ability to take the practice field on Tuesday is a major indicator that he is trending forward in the right direction.
