Tyreek Hill is known as one of the most explosive wide receivers in the NFL, but he doesn't want to be known for just his big plays through the air. While the Kansas City Chiefs prepare for the winless New York Jets, Hill spoke about his maturation process as a wide receiver in the NFL during Friday's press conference.

“I just feel like I’m more mature on the field now. I wouldn’t say I’m complete, but the game has slowed down tremendously for me. When I first came into the league, I was just happy to be in the league. I wanted to make the big play. Now, it’s about running the slants, the hitches, running a Z-in, coming back to the ball, catching it with my hands and getting up field. I feel like I’m more mature in my game.”
In his first two seasons as a full-time wide receiver for the Chiefs, Hill was most known for his ability to stretch the field. The blazing quick pass-catcher averaged 16.4 yards per reception on 162 catches from 2017-2018.
However, in the past two seasons, he's become a more polished wideout that is more than just a deep threat. As a result, he's evolved into a reliable weapon for Patrick Mahomes in different areas of the field.
Make no mistake though, Hill is still more than capable of outrunning defenders and scoring at any level of the field. The four-time Pro Bowler will look to contribute some massive plays in the aerial attack on Sunday versus a hapless Jets team.
