After a tumultuous offseason, Tyreek Hill can safely return to NFL action, as the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver avoided a suspension after child abuse allegations hurled against the star were thrown out.

Hill is thrilled to be back, thanking the NFL while also making sure to denounce the allegations:

“The last few months have been very difficult for me, especially as a father,” Hill wrote in a statement, according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. “The false allegations originally reported in March were highly publicized and involved the care of my son. I am grateful for so many things and grateful for so many people who have supported me during this challenging time. I full respect and accept the NFL’s decision.”

The 24-year-old also made a plea to his children, saying he will be a better father to them moving forward:

“To my children, my beautiful children: I love you all dearly and I promise you all that I will continue to strive to be the best father, the best friend, the best role model, and the best mentor that I can be. I love you all,” wrote Hill.

Hill is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he hauled in 87 receptions for 1,479 yards and 12 touchdowns en route to a Pro Bowl appearance and a First-Team All-Pro selection.

The Lauderhill, Fl. native, who played his collegiate football at West Alabama, was originally selected by the Chiefs in the fifth round (165th pick overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He has made the Pro Bowl in each of his first three NFL seasons, earning First-Team All-Pro honors twice in the process.
