The Kansas City Chiefs may not have to wait much longer to know the fate of their star wide receiver, Tyreek Hill. The league will meet with Hill this week, and a ruling on a suspension might be forthcoming as a result, according to Terez Paylor of Yahoo Sports.

Kansas City Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill will meet with NFL investigators in Kansas City this week, multiple sources told Yahoo Sports.

After a breakout season last year with reigning NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes under center, the upstart Chiefs haven't been able to avoid off-the-field distractions.

First, it was running back Kareem Hunt who got involved in an altercation with a woman and was promptly released by the team. Hunt ultimately landed with the Cleveland Browns and may be able to resurrect his career with Baker Mayfield and company.

Then it was Hill being involved in child abuse case which threatened to end his stint in Kansas City. Although no charges were filed against the Chiefs star, he's still facing a potential suspension from the league.

However, the fact the NFL is expected to meet with Hill this week is an indication a ruling from the league could be on the horizon. Hill is expected to be joined by his legal team for the meeting, and it could set the stage for him to potentially be ready to suit up for training camp, which starts in late July.

With Hill back in the fold for the Chiefs, whenever that may be, Mahomes and company will look capitalize on their breakout season while being expected to be a force in the AFC once again.
