For Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller, you can only contain Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes but can never really stop him from scoring any points.

Per The Washington Post, Miller shared his thoughts on matching up against the Chiefs twice a year. For the eight-time Pro Bowl and one-time Superbowl champ, you just “can't” stop the star quarterback. For Miller, the only way to contain Mahomes is to operate well in their offense.

“Can’t. We’ve just got to score points. If we’re able to get off the field — you can hold them to a third down here and there, but that’s on our offense. We’ve got to score on offense because you cannot — it’s not smart to go into the game and say we’re going to hold Patrick Mahomes to no points.”

Mahomes quickly rose to superstardom after leading the Chiefs to a Super Bowl LIV win in just his third year in the league. He was crowned Super Bowl MVP, making him the second youngest to win it next to Ben Roethlisberger. The year prior — his second year in the league, he was named MVP of the NFL.

Apart from this, he has forged his name in several quarterback records. In 2018, he joined Peyton Manning as the only players in history to 50 touchdown passes and 5,000 yards in a single season.

Indeed, in just three years in the league, Mahomes has gained the respect of the best linemen out there. As they say, game recognizes game. And Miller sure does acknowledge and admire Mahomes' searing talents.
