A disturbing video of Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt pushing and kicking a woman in a hotel was just released. The details surrounding the incident are uncertain in terms of what prompted the altercation, however, some sources provide some speculation that may end up holding some truth upon further investigation.

If this bit of news is, in fact, true it's horrible and racist, but Hunt's actions are still beyond extreme. The facts remain uncertain, and Hunt's season is no doubt in jeopardy if the commissioner decides to take action this season. Hunt will surely receive some kind of punishment, but for now everyone will have to wait and see.

This situation is truly unfortunate for numerous reasons. The league needs to implement a consistent system of punishment when it comes to incidents such as the one Hunt is currently involved in. This goes back to a similar incident in which former NFL running back Ray Rice was shown on video assaulting a woman in a elevator.

The NFL needs to get things straight and do the right thing from here on out. Fans of the league as well as players, coaches, etc. should know what to expect in situations like this. A recent situation that happened last season involved Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott in which he had reportedly assaulted a woman back when he was playing college ball for Ohio State. Elliott served a six-game suspension so it's very likely Hunt will be punished in a similar fashion. The Chiefs organization will have to wait and see how the league approaches the incident.
