Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay was arrested on Wednesday night. Originally, the only information released was that it was a misdemeanor criminal charge, and that Gay was booked around 10:30 p.m. and spent the night at Johnson County Jail awaiting bond.

Gay's representative Max Lepselter released a statement on the situation ahead of the Chiefs' matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

Kansas City sports anchor Harold R. Kuntz shared the statement on Twitter Thursday morning:

Fortunately, it seems like the situation was minor, and nobody was hurt. “No one was touched, nothing happened beyond broken appliance,” Lepselter said. He also stated that the originally announced “misdemeanor criminal charge” was more specifically “misdemeanor destruction of property less than $1000.”

Gay is expected to play in the Chiefs' second playoff game of the season. Lepselter stated that the most he will have to do is pay a fine and replace the broken vacuum. “Nothing more, all should be resolved today with no further issues.”

This is great news for Andy Reid and company, who host the Bills in Kansas City on Sunday. The team needs no distractions as they attempt to make it to the Super Bowl for the third year in a row and win their second championship in the three-year span.
