It hasn't been a particularly great day for the Kansas City Chiefs offense.

For starters, running back Kareem Hunt was sent home from the team's training facility after TMZ video surfaced of him assaulting a woman at a Cleveland hotel earlier in the year.

Now, there's another key player that's unlikely to suit up in the Week 13 matchup against the Oakland Raiders, and that's wide receiver Sammy Watkins.

Having been sidelined at practice this week due to a foot injury, Watkins will not play in Sunday's game in Oakland, according to Chiefs reporter BJ Kissel.

Watkins has been an important part of the Kansas City passing attack this season in racking up 40 receptions on 55 targets while posting 519 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

He only had one catch for four yards in the wild Monday Night Football thriller against the Los Angeles Rams, but he will still play a huge role in the Chiefs' chances to get to the Super Bowl.

With Watkins out of the lineup, that should open up more opportunities for fellow receiver Chris Conley, who has 22 receptions for 223 yards and four touchdowns on the year.

The good news for Andy Reid and company is that missing Watkins (and probably Hunt) may not matter all that much against an Oakland team that is among the worst in the NFL.

The Chiefs will return home for an intriguing matchup against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 14 before hosting the Los Angeles Chargers for a pivotal Dec. 13 game in primetime.
