The Kansas City Chiefs were unable to take care of business against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl 55, but most people believe they'll be back in The Big Game next season. Following Kansas City's lopsided defeat versus Tampa Bay, the Chiefs currently are the favorite to win the Super Bowl in 2022, per DraftKings.

Despite Kansas City's forgettable performance this past Sunday, DraftKings currently has them at +550 odds to win Super Bowl 56. If the Chiefs were to make the title game next season, they would become just the fourth team in NFL history to make three consecutive Super Bowls.

The other teams to make three or more Super Bowls in a row are the New England Patriots from 2017-2019, the Buffalo Bills from 1991-1994, and the Miami Dolphins from 1972-1974. Of the teams listed, the Patriots and Dolphins both won two of their three appearances, while the Bills lost all four of their consecutive appearances.

It goes without saying that the main reason why the Chiefs are listed as the favorite to win next year's Super Bowl is because of Patrick Mahomes. Today's NFL is dominated by the quarterback position, and Kansas City undoubtedly has the best quarterback in the league.

Not to mention, Mahomes has an assortment of dangerous weapons like Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, Mecole Hardman,  and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Plus, having Andy Reid and Eric Bieniemy to call plays on offense puts the Chiefs as a championship contender in the AFC. With that being said, teams are going to have a target on Kansas City's back to prevent them from making three straight Super Bowls.
