Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams earned a crucial rushing touchdown late in the fourth quarter of the AFC title game against the New England Patriots.

Both quarterbacks are trying to lead their team to victory down the stretch, but the running backs have played a big role in this particular matchup.

So, with the Patriots in the lead late in the game, it was Williams that scored a touchdown to put the Chiefs back on top.

Williams has played a big role for Kansas City in the latter part of the season, especially considering how much things changed when Kareem Hunt was released due to his off-the-field issues.

After Spencer Ware was injured back in Week 14, Williams has shown his playmaking skills in being able to help the Chiefs score plenty of points, and this was yet another example of his ability to make a huge impact.

Of course, the Chiefs would love to give Williams more opportunities to showcase his skills in a potential Super Bowl matchup, but Andy Reid's team will need to hold off Tom Brady and company.

Either way, Williams figures to be an important part of the offensive gameplan in Kansas City going forward.
