It didn't take long for the Kansas City Chiefs to respond to the Denver Broncos' first-drive touchdown on Thursday Night Football. After the Broncos took nearly six minutes off the clock on their first drive, the Chiefs drove 75 yards in eight plays to score a touchdown that would put them up on primetime ā€” as the Broncos failed their two-point conversion attempt and the Chiefs made their kick.

On 3rd-and-2, quarterback Patrick Mahomes found rookie wide receiver Mecole Hardman open off of a shallow drag route. The speed merchant hailing from Georgia bobbled the ball, reeled it in, and then turned on the burners to avoid a Kareem Jackson tackle and get into the end zone.

Hardmon's touchdown is the first offensive touchdown scored against the Broncos in the last nine quarters. It is also Hardman's third of the season. The rookie could be in-store for a big game, as he becomes a top option in their offense with Sammy Watkins out.
