NFL training camp is almost here for every team, but for the Kansas City Chiefs, there’s still a couple of days left before they get to work. That hasn’t stopped Patrick Mahomes and some of his receivers from getting in some work early, though.

Despite being on vacation, it seems like Mahomes and a handful of his receivers are still making sure to get some practice in. On a recent video shared by Bleacher Report’s Gridiron social media accounts, Mahomes was spotted at a beach, standing in the water while firing off passes to his receivers, who were busy running routes in the sand.

For a young quarterback like Mahomes, making sure to get in rhythm and spend time with his receivers is important, so spending as much time with them as possible is vital. Getting in some light workouts before training camp starts is also a good way for them to keep active, and while it looks like they were all taking it easy, it’s still a good team-building exercise for the group.

As the NFL offseason begins to wind down, the Chiefs will all be coming home from vacation soon. The first date for rookies to report to camp is July 23, and veterans must report to camp on July 26. By next week, every NFL team should be starting up their full training camp, so expect more stories on how Mahomes is continuing to develop chemistry with his re-tooled offensive group as the Chiefs compete to make a Super Bowl run.
