Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is at it again, with teammate Travis Kelce helping him out. After the rival Oakland Raiders took an early 10-0 lead over the Chiefs, Mahomes caught fire and went off in the second quarter, leading Kansas City to a whopping four touchdowns in those 15 minutes.

One of those four Kansas City touchdowns came from Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who hauled in the Mahomes pass in impressive fashion.

Despite the Raiders taking that early double-digit lead, the Chiefs defense locked things down for Mahomes and company as the second half has remained quite uneventful in terms of offense. With the Raiders unable to score, the Chiefs have held the steady lead that Kansas City took into the locker room at halftime with the team's defense leading the way late. Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has received very little help from his surrounding teammates, though the Oakland signal caller has been sloppy himself as well — which is certainly something that simply cannot happen with Mahomes hanging out on the opposing sideline.

With the Chiefs currently en route to improving to a perfect 2-0 after defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1, it appears as though Kansas City will continue to serve as the frontrunners in the AFC West division. With the Raiders, Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers all losing on Sunday afternoon, Mahomes can keep this group in the driver's seat for weeks to come.

It is also worth noting that both the Chiefs and Chargers reached the postseason from the AFC West in 2018-19.
