The defending Super Bowl champions are getting back to work. Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes hit the weight room and worked out with tight end Travis Kelce and wide receiver Gehrig Dieter earlier this week.

Pretty elite company for Dieter, who played in just two games with the Chiefs last year.

Kansas City will certainly be glad to see the undrafted wideout getting after it this offseason despite the limitations provided by COVID-19.

Mahomes and Kelce, meanwhile, are intent on building upon their excellent resumes.

The Super Bowl MVP continues to cement his place as one of the bestā€“if not the bestā€“players in the NFL. Mahomes went 11-3 in 2019, throwing for 4,039 yards and 26 touchdowns while leading the Chiefs from behind in consecutive playoff victories over the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans.

Kelce was not named first-team All-Pro, but he still excelled. The 30-year-old had 97 receptions for 1,229 yards and five touchdowns and was equally as impressive during Kansas City's run to the Lombardi Trophy.

The pandemic has lessened each teams' offseason capabilities, but the Chiefsā€“from the stars to the fringe playersā€“are determined to put in the work in an effort to repeat in 2020.
