Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes scores first TD of expected shootout vs Ravens
As expected, the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens wasted absolutely no time getting the scoring started on Monday evening as both teams scored points on their opening drives. With the Ravens receiving the opening kickoff en route to putting one through the uprights, the Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes then immediately answered with the game’s first touchdown.
Mahomes led his team down the field before scampering into the end zone from a few yards out for six points. However, Chiefs place kicker Harrison Butker missed the extra point as Kansas City currently leads the Ravens by the score of 6-3.

With Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson on the opposing sideline, one can expect both signal callers to produce through the air and on the ground on Monday evening. With the conclusion of Week 3 more than likely to account for quite a few points, this one is very far from over as the first quarter rolls on.
