The Kansas City Chiefs desperately needed a score from their offense and Patrick Mahomes delivered. Following an impressive kick return from Mecole Hardman, Patrick Mahomes threw a 17-yard touchdown to Damien Williams for their first score of the game versus the Houston Texans.

Everything that could've gone wrong for the Chiefs went wrong to begin the game. From a blocked punt to dropped passes, Kansas City found themselves in an early double-digit deficit.

But as long as the Chiefs have Mahomes under center, Kansas City will always have a chance to win a game. After Houston took a 24-0 lead, Williams hauled in a much-needed touchdown pass to get Kansas City on the board.

Over the past two seasons, Williams has combined for three receiving touchdowns in the postseason. The Chiefs could use more from the versatile running back as Kansas City attempts to come back on Sunday.
