Have yourself a day Sammy Watkins! The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver caught his third touchdown pass of the day in the fourth quarter against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Watkins began the day with the first touchdown across the NFL with a short pass from Patrick Mahomes; that he turned into a 68-yard touchdown. The veteran receiver would follow that with a 49-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter.

With three touchdowns in the entirety of the game, Watkins has already caught as many touchdowns as he had in 2018 per NFL Research.

It's safe to say that Watkins is starting to get comfortable in Andy Reid's offense.

Altogether, Watkins has nine receptions for 198 yards and three touchdowns on the day versus the Jaguars. The Chiefs are glad to see their electric receiver producing at a high level for them.

If Watkins is going to play at this level in 2019, Kansas City is going to be even tougher to stop on offense. Prior to the 2018 season, the Chiefs signed Watkins to a three-year, $48 million deal.

At the time, the speedy wide receiver became one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL. In his first season with the Chiefs, Watkins caught just 40 receptions for 519 yards and three scores.

Over the course of his five years in the NFL, injuries have prevented him from reaching his peak. Reid would love to get a fully healthy Watkins for all 16 games this season.

The NFL is being put on notice that they may need to start paying a little more attention to Watkins now.
