Who's the faster Kansas City Chief wide receiver, Tyreek Hill or Mecole Hardman?

The world found out today when Hill posted a video on his Instagram of the two racing at training camp.

The two have talked of racing each other ever since Hardman was drafted by the Chiefs in 2019. In that year's Draft Combine, Hardman ran a 4.33 40, which drew the attention of Hill.

Tyreek Hill, meanwhile, reportedly ran a 4.24 during his pro day in 2016 according to BJ Kissel of Chiefs.com. He also tied for the fastest max speed on the field last season by any player according to Next Gen Stats.

Hardman has also made a name for himself with his speed, hitting 21.87 miles per hour on a 63-yard touchdown reception against the Tennessee Titans according to Next Gen Stats.

As can be seen in the video, the elder statesman Hill beats out the upstart Hardman by a few feet. While the competition is fun for pundits and fans alike to talk about during a slow offseason, the real winner is the Chiefs for having both receivers on their team.

With an abundance of riches on the offensive side of the ball, in spite of Damien Williams' choice to opt out of the 2020 season, the Chiefs look primed and ready for another long run in the playoffs and an opportunity to repeat as Super Bowl Champions, a feat that has not been accomplished since the New England Patriots did it in 2003 and 2004. Both Hill and Hardman look to be big pieces in that effort together. After Hill gloats about being the faster of the two for the next month, of course.
