The outcome of the lopsided game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the L.A. Clippers was no surprise, as the latter came out victorious with a 133-109 final score. Most expected that the Clippers, currently battling for final positioning in the Western Conference playoffs picture, would easily defeat their crosstown rivals who are now on full tank mode.

Perhaps the most surprising aspect of the lackluster contest was seeing the son of Clippers point guard Chris Paul sitting on the bench with his dad while the game was still in play.

It is not uncommon to see children of NBA players hanging around with their fathers before or after ball games. Two-time defending Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry has been known to bring his daughter, Riley, to post-game press conferences as the four-year old has unintentionally created a following for herself because of her adorable antics and amusing commentary.

However it is definitely unusual to see a toddler, or anyone not part of the team for that matter, sitting on the bench in the middle of a professional basketball game. Players are expected to remain 100 percent focused on the task at hand throughout the contest and any type of distraction is unwarranted.

Then again, the game was completely out of hand at that point as the Clippers were already able to establish a comfortable 25-point cushion with less than six minutes remaining in the fourth and final frame.  It was also already a mission accomplished for Paul, as the nine-time All-Star  put up 27 points, eight rebounds, four assists, a steal, and four three-pointers in just 25 minutes of action.
