Bengals Week 5 Predictions

4. Chris Evans proves to be a reliable option in the backfield

With Joe Mixon dealing with injuries right now, someone else is going to have to step up in the run game. Samaje Perine looked decent last season, but rookie Chris Evans has flashed some serious potential. He had a great camp and seemed comfortable playing in the preseason.

Evans also has the ability to be an asset in the passing game. Having a reliable running back work as an extra receiver can go a long way in the NFL. For that reason, Chris Evans has a real chance to prove to the Bengals he deserves more playing time.

3. Ja'Marr Chase erupts for 120+ receiving yards and 1 touchdown

He's quickly become a top target in the Bengals offense and should maintain that role for quite some time. It's clear Ja'Marr Chase and Joe Burrow have a special connection that began in college. The Packers have a solid secondary, but star cornerback Jair Alexander is dealing with an injury. This could be a moment for Cincinnati to strike.

2. Joe Burrow goes off for another 300+ yard performance

Joe Burrow went bonkers in the Bengals game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. It was a solid performance that built up the team's confidence. The passing attack is the strongest asset Cincinnati has and they'll look to rely on it in their matchup against Green Bay.

The Packers have an injury bug hitting the roster right now, which bodes well for Joe Burrow and the Bengals. For that reason, look for Burrow to take advantage of a hindered Packers defense as he attempts to do the impossible on Sunday.

1. Bengals upset the Packers and improve to 4-1

It's been an odd start to the season for many franchises, but the Bengals are a pleasant surprise so far. They were expected to be the worst team in their division, but instead, are currently in first place of the AFC North. If the Bengals stick to their game plan and play a hard-nosed football game, it's not crazy to think they upset the Packers. It would be the biggest win of the season so far and it would put Cincinnati on the map of potential playoff contenders.
