On Sunday night, the Los Angeles Clippers put up a valiant effort against the defending champions, the Golden State Warriors. Unfortunately for them, a last-second layup by Dubs star Stephen Curry secured the razor-thin 129-127 victory for the Warriors.

The Clippers were on fire from behind the arc in the defeat, which is one of the primary reasons why they were able to keep it close against the juggernaut that is the Warriors. As pointed out by a Redditor that goes by the username u/the_dinks, by going a total of 18-of-23 from three-point territory, the Clippers were only the second team in NBA history to have made at least 75 percent while attempting at least 20 shots from distance.

This may sound a bit arbitrary, but perhaps this is the best way to illustrate how hot the Clippers were from rainbow country on Sunday night.

The Clippers were led by the trio of Tobias Harris (32 points, six three-pointers) Danilo Gallinari (25 points, five three-pointers), and Lou Williams (25 points, one three-pointer). Unfortunately for them, this was not enough to overpower the Warriors duo of and Stephen Curry (42 points, six three's) and Kevin Durant (35 points, 12 rebounds).

This simply goes to show how powerful the Warriors are. A record-setting night from behind the arc was not even enough for the Clippers to upset the champs.

This defeat is the Clippers' eighth in 12 December games. They are quickly falling back to earth after a surprisingly strong start to the season, and are now down to the fourth spot in the West with a 19-13 record.
