Although JaVale McGee recently stated that it would be horrible for him to leave the Golden State Warriors, the seven-footer is still determined to maximize his options in free agency to better develop his career.

As Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN pointed out, McGee's first venture outside of continuing negotiations with the Warriors is to meet with the Los Angeles Clippers.

While McGee didn't produce eye-popping numbers for the Dubs, he was an emotional leader of sorts for them during their title winning run; so much so that Kevin Durant credited him for getting the team together as one.

McGee will try to command a slightly better pay than the one-year, $1.4 million deal he had with the Warriors last season. It remains to be known if the Clippers are willing to match or top that price for a suitable backup behind DeAndre Jordan should they be able to make a good pitch to the 29-year-old center.
