The LA Clippers will likely stick on Boban Marjanovic as their starting center when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves at Staples Center on Monday.

The 7-foot-3 Serbian came off the bench in their first eight games of the season before getting the starting nod in Saturday's win over the Orlando Magic. Boban Marjanovic posted a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds in 23 minutes of action in the match.

Clippers head coach Doc Rivers confirmed that the 30-year-old big man is slated to start again when they play the Timberwolves, though he added it's not “100% sure yet,” per Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.

Boban Marjanovic got the role from Marcin Gortat who has been the team's starting center before the Magic game. And Rivers said that the Polish Hammer isn't dealing with any kind of injury, emphasizing that his decision is made purely on a basketball basis.

“No, I started Boban. This is not like a controversy or anything. I decided to start Boban,” added Rivers who also denied that Gortat has an issue about his benching.

Marjanovic is averaging career-highs in points and rebounds for the Clippers, with 9.0 points and 5.6 boards. Including their meeting with Orlando, he has already two double-doubles and five double-digit scoring games.
